Privacy
This site shows public legal deadlines. We do not collect form data, run calculators on your input, or set tracking cookies beyond privacy-friendly analytics.
Information we collect
StatuteLimits is a static reference site. We do not ask visitors to create accounts, submit forms, or upload documents. The only data we handle is the standard server log information that any website receives, such as the requested page and the general region of the visitor. We do not link that information to a personal identity, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a minimal set of privacy-friendly analytics cookies to understand which reference tables are useful. These cookies do not store your name, email, or any content you type, because the site has no input fields. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to any table on the site.
Third-party advertising
Our advertising partner, Google AdSense, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. AdSense may use a DART cookie that records non-personal visit patterns. The DART cookie does not identify you by name and does not read any information from your device beyond what is needed to choose an ad.
The DoubleClick cookie
Google’s DoubleClick cookie helps AdSense select ads and measure their performance. You may opt out of the DoubleClick cookie at any time through the controls described below. Opting out does not remove ads from the site; it only stops personalized selection based on your browsing history.
How to opt out of personalized ads
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our host records basic server logs such as the page requested, the browser type, and the general region of the visitor. These logs are used only to keep the site fast and to spot technical problems. They are not joined to a name or email, because the site has no accounts and no input fields where a visitor could type personal details.
Children
This reference is intended for adults researching legal deadlines. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, read the table with a parent or guardian, because filing-deadline questions often involve adult legal matters and court procedure that a minor cannot act on alone.
Data retention and security
Because we store almost no personal data, there is little to retain or protect. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted on a routine schedule. We serve every page over standard transport encryption (HTTPS) so the content you load is not readable while in transit. We never sell visitor information to anyone, and we do not build profiles of readers.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the industry opt-out page at aboutads.info. That page lets you withdraw from interest-based advertising from participating companies, including Google. You can also adjust ad personalization in your Google account settings. These choices apply to the personalized portion of advertising and do not affect the operation of the reference tables.
Vendor list and contact
Our primary advertising vendor is Google LLC, which acts as a third-party vendor serving ads under the AdSense program. For the full list of advertising vendors and their data practices, see Google’s ad technology provider list. If you have a question about this policy, email research@statutelimits.site.
